Wondering why it just up and lost all color?
Had a Green Monti fall into a Frogspawn and got stung bad, had to frag the Monti. The Green Monti was in that condition in the tank for 36Hrs. The Staghorn no where near the Monti. Staghorn showed signs of problems in 2-3 days after that episode.
I ran carbon for 2 days after as well
I keep mostly softies & LPS, but have some SPS as frags swaped for other things. ie Stylophora (green & pink) "beautiful"
Montipora capricornis green & red
And a few I'm not sure of. Anyhow no LPS close to the Staghorn. Nothing seems to bother it & has done pretty good since purchase in early Dec. It was a small frag 1 1/2" big.

My lighting is VHO 440 2 blue 2 white 13hrs/day
90 gal - 40 gal sump
NO SKIMMER
Nitrate, Ammonia, Phosphate & Nitrite all =0
Sal = 1.024
Ca = 450
Alk = 2.5 to 3. /meq This depends on how you read tritation.
I am working on raising it some
( washing soda, will also help PH )
PH 7.9 morning reading right before lights.
PH 8.0 during the day & evening.

Nothing added recently & did a 20% water change last nite

Yellow Tang, Hippo Tang, True Prec, sandsifting Goby
Purple Anemone, 3 Blue leg & 3 Red leg Hermits, 2 cleaner shrimp,
1 Blood red shrimp, sand sifting star & Blue Linka & Various snails.
These are all the tank mates>
All this, is it the lighting?
It's in the top 1/3 of the rock.
Or the mishap withe the Green Monti.
