I posted this in the wrong area, so here it goes.

I have a knop in sump skimmer that I got off ebay. It came with a 201 aquaclear PH. I tried it out in a small tank of s/w about 4" hi. The airline when turned on is shooting out water. Do you think that it's not stong enough for the skimmer?

What do you think is wrong with this setup?

Post the size of your tank, contents, and what you plan to keep in it in the future,

I have a 12g nano. I have 2x96w PC 10k and 03, it sticks out about 6" on each side but hey it was on sale:p

Equiptment: 212 Powersweep, Micro jet 320, Aquaclear 200 w/phopasorb and carbon, and a 1g refugium.

It has a frogspawn, torch, xenias, sun polyps, red gorgonian, GSP, toad stool, leather finger, and a closed brian coral.

I want to get a few more softies, and then maybe a small clam (not too sure yet)

I plan on DYI a behind the back refugium next week, and I would like to place the skimmer in the sump area.

Now my only problem is (knock on wood) to find out if i'm setting up my skimmer correctly.
