The bulkhead for my standpipe is 1"1/4 should I use the same diameter for the tubing to the sump, right now I have 1"1/2 and it splashes alot in there maybe because it's too big what do you guy's think?

I don't understand the problem 'it splashes alot' could you be more descriptive? I think that 1 1/2" should be fine, but, I'll reserve my final answer based on your details.

Why didn't you just make the Durso 1.25"? That is the PVC size that Richard Durso recommends.

Yes it splashes alot! My standpipe is 1"1/2 the bulkhead is 1"1/4 and my tubing going from this bulkhead to the sump is 1"1/2 a 1/4" bigger than the bulkhead. Now if I reduce the tubing size to 1"1/4 would this solve the splashing that occurs within this tube? for instance when the water hits the 90 elbows directing the water to the sump?
