I've been running 2 actinic and 2 10k VHO's (95watts each) above my 55gal. I was never crazy about the color this combo produced, not blue enough for my tastes. I recently replaced 1 of my 10k's with another actinic, leaving 1 10k and 3 actinics. The color is awesome. My green carpet is glowing, my polyps/torch corals/fish/clams have never looked better. My question: Is this lighting combo detrimental to my corals/inverts health? I've read that the light intensity/wattage is much more important to coral health than color. Is this true? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

That is true. It's not the color, but more the intesity of the lights that makes your corals thrive.

Keep us posted. I'd really like to see how they do in the long run.
