Will be going to Ft. Pierce to visit Marcona (or whatever their new name may be these days) to fill up the pick-up with some aragonite sand. (aka southdown, carib-sea etc.) this Tuesday. If you want some let me know before then and I will be happy to get you some while I am there. Gonna fill the bed of the truck up anyways so.... :D

I could use some for a new refugium I'm setting up. I gave away all that I had gotten on the last run.

I would be interested in about 20lbs for a 7g bowfront nano I'm putting together as a project for Millennium Middle School students.

We could use about 30 lbs for our mothers new 65 gallon reef setup.

Ok, I have about 1500lbs extra that I won't be using so if you want it let me know. I can bring it to the next reef club meeting on the 25th at Richards house.

To offset gas, time and labor I am asking for .10 per pound. (if you want to chip in more to help defray my encounter with FHP then please do so :D) Works out to 10 bucks for 100 lbs which I am sure you will agree is more than fair. 50lbs will be minimum purchase which is about a 5 gal bucket near full. Bring your own containers.

Confirm here or send email.

Mako,

I will need 360 pounds for a 4" bed in my 180 gallon I am setting up. Any idea how many pounds of sand fit in a 55 gallon garbage can? I can bring the can and a shovel to the next meeting.

Since you have so much extra, we would like to have 100 lbs. if that's alright. Your asking price is more than fair. Sorry to hear about your run in. :( That's no fun. See you at the meeting. Oh by the way, we also have a friend that wants 500 lbs. of sand for their tank. Where are you located? Maybe we can arrange a pick up. Do you ever go into Seven Seas? The guys who wants the 500 lbs. works there.

Scuba was just jerking my chain George_N_Jo. He already has a couple thousand of his own. :p So if you still want some I have more than enough for ya. Let me know about your friend and the 500lbs. I can bring it to the meeting.

Thorsx- I would venture to say you could get 360lbs of this stuff into a 55G can. 5G bucket holds 50 so should not be a problem getting 360 into a 55. Now moving it later might present a problem. :D

Alrighty. We will take 600 lbs. of sand then. I guess we'll see you at the party. That's 12 bucket right?!

I guess I can fill up a garbage can while it is in the back of my Xterra. I only wish I had a fork lift to get it out when I get home!!!

Mako, by the way, I want to pull the aragonite bottom out of my 110 and put in a southdown sand bottom. Bring about 100lbs of it to my house and I will throw a few bucks your way for your trouble.
