I see four noodle posts, and two noodle votes. What's up with that?!? Which of you have noodles on the brain?

:D I don't like mashed potatoes....or gravy. On a baked potato I use cheese.

I voted "other". green lentils, or chickpeas, rather than rice. Rice is kinda boring.

For potatoes, instead of gravy, butter, or cheese, try this.

Peel a potato. Take an apple corer and remove the core of the potato. Par boil it. When it's almost fork tender, stand it up in a roasting pan and finish it in the oven. You can do a bunch this way.

Serve it standing up, and fill the inside with layers of smoked salmon, non-fat cream cheese, dill, and capers.

Noodles, and they must be wheat, preferably homemade.

What time's dinner Jason, that sounds good..:D

Rice, noodles, potatos or dumplings. Or a combination of all of them are best in Chicken Soup.

Potatos in any form are good.

Dinner is any time, Debi - you're always welcome.

I forgot the red onions in my recipe above. And obviously, trim a bit off the bottom of the potato so it stands up on its own :)

Both, and I prefer brown rice.

Also:

Potatoes....cubed
Celery
Garlic ....pressed
Onion....diced
1 (or less) tomato......diced
Sage to taste
Basil """""""""
Dried black-eyed peas ( I use a pressure cooker)
Carrots
As many habanero chilis as your family can comfortably eat.

****Warning****

Habaneros are in the top three chilis as far as heat goes. Use gloves when chopping and NEVER scratch your eye, nose, or any other body part ( trust the voice of experience) while preparing.

i can vouch for this as well
not a pleasant experience for about a hour
also TP does not create a barrier to stop the heat from getting to soft tissue areas

I prefer dumplings myself. Just made a monster pot od Chicken & dumplings on Wednesday. 5 people later I still have enough left over for dinner one more night in the freezer.
