the meeting of the moms

i didn't get the announcement at x-mas from john and melissa that i have been patiently waiting for.

but, tomorrow they are bringing melissa's mom to the ridge (the ridge...that's what we call our farm) to meet me. i'm gonna try to be on my best behavior.

john is fixing supper for the 4 of us. filets with bleu cheese sauce, fresh asparagus YUM, deep fried/puffed wild rice DOUBLE YUM and melissa's mom is bringing something for dessert.

i'm wondering if maybe they'll make their announcement when we are all together. ya think? i swear, if he doesn't propose to her soon, I'M gonna do it.

gary will be here in spirit. i hope he's on his best behavior, too. i never knew what he was gonna come up with. ;)
