Started sheetrocking the Sunroom today
Starting at the lower ceiling, 1st row
Then worked on the wall beneath
Wall is mostly done
Should be able to finish that wall tomorrow & then start the side wall. Then I can finish connecting the (2) circuits on that side of the room so I'll have outlets & lights!!!

Lookin good, it's been 60 - 70 out there the past few days
Nice sunny day & its warm
Good now, bad in the summer....

Yeah um...broken rib last year
17 month old kid that keeps needing attention
Started the sunroom at the end of May
All closed in 6 weeks later - sons birthday Mid-July
Beginning of September my Christmas blow mold order came in
So the room has just been cleaned out with the last of my orders shipping out

BEFORE and AFTER order arrived

1 1/2 walls done, onlt the 1st 2' of the ceiling
Its up to 70 out there, nice sunny day
I had to open the door to let some of the heat go up to the 2nd floor
I'm thinking I need to rent a lift
The highest part of the ceiling is 12' off the ground

2 walls done
So I was able to connect one outlet circuit and the lighting circuit
It's staying warmer out there each day
Tomorrow I start on the last wall

Then I need to go check into renting a lift

How come your storm door is on the inside? And what's with that gap in the subfloor?

Storm door is the old back door
Gap in the floor is a gap in the floor ;)
The lighting/shadow makes it look worse then it actually is
Due to the open area underneath the sunroom on one side the framing was adjusted. Each side of the subfloor at that point has 2x4 supporting it. In the picture the sub floor is not screwed down. SO I'm adjusting it & screwing everything down now
I had to leave it accessible in case the Inspector wanted to check the insulation

It's all being covered over w/cement board, radiant heat & tile

radiant heat & tile Very nice. I would love to have that in my master bath. But tearing up ceramic tile (even on a wood subfloor) is not something high on my list of things to do.

The downstairs bathroom I put in radiant floor heat - 120v
I had the option, but the pre-made 3x5 mat at HD/LOwes, or order online & have enough wire to go all the way down the hallway
Sunroom will have radiant heat floor
1/2 will be 120v , the other 1/2 will be 240v

Master bath on the 2nd floor will be 120v radiant floor heat
Again, enough wire to extend out into the Master bedroom

In the event of a long term power loss a generator could be used to power these three 120v radiant heat setups to keep the house warm
Between that & the fireplace we'd be OK for quite a while
