I suggest that the rules for proposing be amended so that the man will now sit calmly in his chair dringking a nice cold beer while the woman bends her knee and makes the proposal.

All in favor???

I'll vote in favor of that!

I must say though, that in my case I never proposed to my wife...my mother did.

We were visiting discussing a job offer I was contemplating, when out of the blue my Mother said, "I think you kids should get married and make the move to the new job and get a fresh start."

Next thing I knew those two women were planning a wedding, and heck...I wasn't busy that weekend anyway. :D

I picked the first wife and it was a disaster. Mom picked this one and 25 years later it still isn't worth half of my stuff to get rid of her.

Why is it that first wives are all evil? Do the guys they remarry realize their full evilness???

Mom and Dad went through a rough patch way back... told me they looked at each other and said - You Leave, dad said - no you leave it my ....house!, They both figured out right then and there that they were to stuborn to either leave and might as well stick it out... 42 years of marriage.
