ok! i'll include my social security number, just in case you need that, too. when can i expect delivery? oh, i want a white one. that red would show too much dirt.

And you think a white one wouldn't???

When can you expect delivery... I think typically about 9 months, isn't it?

sadly she is right - the white will look better than the red after rains and such, bright colors tend to just dull down with dirt and road grime where ar darker colors tend to just look dirty

Well, I've had white and I've had the dark red and I've gotta tell you that white (AND black) are the hardest to keep looking clean. Both show every speck of dirt. The red didn't show it too much and silver and brown are the easiest...

drauka99
12/27/2007, 10:03 AM
depends on the red - I have a dark red car and its not to bad as long as you dry it after washing otherwise you get water spots. And I have a truck that is a few shades lighter and it shows every speck of dirt.

My black truck was a nightmare. White one was the easies of the 3 trucks

Nina51

since i've lived in the boonies, i have had nothing but white vehicles until i got my silver mini van. i could go weeks between washings (vehicles bart, vehicles) on the white ones. this van needs it way more often than it gets it.

Tundra kicked Sierra's butt in 2007. Read it and weep.

2007 GMC Sierra vs. 2007 Toyota Tundra (http://www.trucktrend.com/roadtests/pickup/163_0706_full_size_truck_comparison/index.html) With the GMC equipped for family recreation as tested, its price advantage of a few hundred dollars, more appealing interior package, and greater payload capacity aren't enough to overcome the Tundra's superior powertrain performance, safety equipment, larger cabin, and better fuel economy in every situation. The third time is indeed the charm for Toyota, as this third-generation full-size pickup has set the benchmark another notch higher.Let's see your 2008 comparison review.

GMC is a work truck not a recreation truck, plus you can find a review that tells you whatever you want it too

Yeah me too. At first I was relieved to see it was about trucks. But then with all this talk of which color stays clean followed by discussion of style and family recreation...I find myself wishing the thread was about her. :(

IMHO the first thing a dealer should do when delivering a new truck is to key it for you. Get that first scratch out of the way so you can start enjoying it as a truck and get over the idea that it is just a car that lets you burn more gas.

Wash it? Shows dirt? Indeed!

A Tundra (2003), of course. It used to look like this.

http://nosko.com/images/KilmarnockFarm1stSnow2003/images/DSCN2204.jpg

But I replaced the Leer tonneau a few years ago with the 122 cab. I don't do construction work, but haul a full load every few weekends and tow regularly. I don't have a recent picture, but this gives you the idea.
