do you let the phone ring before you give up? i get here usually at 7:15 a.m. my phone starts ringing at 7:15:01. we don't answer the phones till 8:30 a.m. and we don't have an answering machine, THANK GOD!! when it rings before 8:30, it rings and rings and rings and rings and rings and...well, you get the idea. i'm pretty sure it's the boys. they sure don't give up easy. :rolleye1:

Usually when I'm on my lunch break and the phone rings, I won't answer it. Luckily, for us, after 5 rings it goes to our other store for our boss to deal with :D I wish I could do that all the time :)

I believe the no answering machine is a deliberate measure :D.

I don't really call anyone besides the house here or my dad's cell phone. We don't have an answering machine but after a few rings nobody picks up I give up. We always answer on the second ring unless we're stumbling over dogs or outside. Dad's cell phone, his voice mail picks up after 3 rings. :)

lmao-

It depends on where I'm calling- if I'm calling a place where I know they are super busy and have customers then I'll let it go about 5-6 then hang up and call a bit later... If it's my mom I let it go about 4 times...

Christy... Ohhh Nina- your phone is ringing :D

i got your message this morning. somebody is logging on in my name because my computer was totally shut down last night. in fact, i shut it down when i went to bed at 9:30ish. i don't get it!

and, do you have ANY idea how close i came to calling YOUR cell phone at 5:30 this morning which would have been 4:30 (3:30?) your time??? :p

i never even heard my phone ring last night.

My cure for it on my old phone used to be to take off the phone cover, put a fat piece of rubber band between the electronic hammer and the bell of the ringer, and leave it on answering machine. That way I'd get the occasional voice, leaving me able to decide to pick up or not; and otherwise---blissful silence.
But I suppose in an office they'd frown on this.

:D The list of people logged on at the top^ isn't very accurate some times.

I've had people send me PM's 11 or 12 o'clock at night wondering why I'm still on - sometimes 2 or 3 hours after my computer has been completely shut off .

I think it's usually 30-60 minutes. Seemed like your name was up there longer than that....

Well I hear the slot machines calling me...behave everyone...
