View Full Version : Verizon cell phone as a modem?

I'm trying to set up my Verizon LG Voyager to use it as a modem on my laptop. I got it all set up with the USB cable, and configured the dial-up connection to use the phone. It dials, and the screen on the phone shows that it's trying to authenticate, but the username and password are getting rejected.

I'm dialing #777. For user name and password I'm using XXXXXXXXXX@vzw3g.com and for password I'm using vzw. Should work, right? (the X's are my 10 digit phone number)

Any input? The Verizon site is not helpful. :)

Neither is thier customer support. Turns out what I did above ^^^ works on most verizon phones, just not the Voyager. For my phone, they want me to buy a $60/month plan just to use it as a modem.
