The Santa Fe River meets Devil's Eye Spring, Ginnie Springs, Florida
Depth: 15 feet
Mullet swim through the dark tannin river water toward the clear spring water, which is lined with hydrilla, a fast-growing invasive weed.
i have dove this like a dozen times it is awesome it leads to a cavern leading to a cave entrance on if not the largest cave system in north america

the place where that pic was taken is on a fallen log in 15 ft that coveres the crack going straight down to 65 ft to the cavern entrance which stops about 73 ft. then the cave which goes hundreds and hundreds of ft.
here is the log that picture was most likely taken on

OMG, that would scare the crap out of me. No way, no how. I give you HUGE kudos for being brave enough to swim down there, much less being calm enough to take a pic!
Great pics, tho. Thanks for sharing.

sorry to steal the thread but
if you take the cave (which i dont go in) to the right from the log you will pop out here
where i am about to swim into about 35 ft
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a117/mrferrit/8-2-2006-08.jpg
and here is me entering the cavern leading to the cave
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a117/mrferrit/8-2-2006-11.jpg
about 40 ft
and one more about 30 ft of me about to go into a nother tight cavern (i got yelled at by the G?F whom i was teaching to dive that day) she told me i wasent allowed to go in there

surprising enough they were taken with a crappy 35mm camera flash off with underwater casing of course
after you realize the person cant breath while taking pics they come out decent
but i love the 200+ ft viz you can see there
and the year round 72 degrees water is very refreshing

You can go where-ever you want...if you make it out without proper cave gear & training is another matter ;)
