What's on your wish list for Santa this year? :D

Here's what I want:

1) My living room to be all painted and cleaned up after the 220g install so I can make my wife happy! (She puts up with a lot!!!)

2) Wicked cool Deepwater Corals to stock my 220g
3) Insane coral growth in 2008 :D
4) A perfect Achilles Tang
5) No leaks or overflowing sumps :D
6) Peace on Earth...(Perhaps this should be higher on my list :p )

3) A frag or two of A. lokani
4) Anthias

1) Enough experimental data to get the F*** out of grad school
2) Enough money to pay for a wedding and honeymoon
3) A real job
4) The Skittles/Starburst variety pack from Sam's Club

Unfortunately I think everything except the Skittles/Starburst variety pack is probably not going to happen . . . ever :D

As far as my reef tank is concerned, I'm pretty happy with the way it is right now. So I'd be happy to continue on my current path, get some cool frags along the way, avoid catching any coral predators, and just watch things grow.

I probably won't be back over that way again until January. I'll drop you a PM when I'm going to be in town, and I could drop by and pick it up from you. I'm interested in seeing this work in progress you've got going.

I don't know...there is a lot on my list. Maybe I should just ask for a huge gift certificate.

I uh...keep changing my mind on exactly what I want, though. I need to just put everything together and stick with it! One minute I have a plan I like and the next I'm not so sure so I come up with something better. Once that happens two or three times I'm so far from what I wanted in the first place, I begin to think the original plan was best.

Then I start feeling like I should just fill it with fresh water and go with something I'm used to!

But my list would be for

1)time, money, and know-how to set up my tank
2)my house to organize itself...I'm no good at that and it's been bugging me
3)my son to cut his teeth already so I don't have to deal with a crying hurting baby anymore!

Things have been a little hectic around here lately and I'm doubting I'll get any of my wishes by Christmas. :hmm3:

Wow, I haven't met this guy yet, but he sounds like a complete dork. I say we round up our best frags and send them to him in hopes of pacifying him so he'll leave us alone.

I was thinking a house size fish tank....with a bubble room for people to live in. Why does the tank have to fit in the house??? Better the other way around :D

good call, scuba tank or snorkel required

Hopeful Reefer
12/19/2007, 03:59 PM
The heck with scuba, go inline air man!! :D

Guess I'll throw in on this... ;)

1) RO/DI unit so I can quit buying water...and a decent place to put it to make the water...
2) Ca+ Reactor
3) Some new moon lights
4) And while I'm at it, why not throw in that I want a blank check from Uncle Sam!! :D Heck, we all know that our economy is just based on a bunch of numbers on paper anyway and the government really has no money...might as well pass it around while they still don't have it!! :lol2: ;)

As for rights, I think we still have the right to drink at the frag meets...actually, maybe that is in the constitution of Reef Central also... :D

Ditto on the RO/DI unit!!!!

Ok I'll get in on the list here.

CA Reactor
Kalkstirrer

Any Deep Water Acros (Lokani, Caroliniata, Jacqulineata)
Superman Danae Monti
Pokerstar Monti
Setosa Monti
Undata Monti
Watermelon Chalice

And since I got a email saying Santa Claus has turned over the south to Bubba Claus, I doubt he knows what any of these are. Probably end up getting a superman movie, a deck of cards, a sofa, and a watermelon. :lolspin:

why another camera?

well, after having my canon XTi for a year, my dad has been drooling over it.......as he used to be into the film SLR's, and can't stand his digital point-and-shoot. he has been borrowing my camera allot, and likes to mess around with it every chance he gets.

he was thinking about getting the same camera i have, but i told him not to......and instead i'd give him my camera plus the telephoto lens that i never use (can't afford to travel).......if he buys me the 40D (big upgrade with lots of new features).

that way we can buy a couple of lenses in the future, and just trade them back and forth as we need them for trips etc. seemed kinda pointless to own 2 exact same cameras, with some of the same lenses......better to upgrade 1 of them at least and share lenses.

12/19/2007, 05:58 PM
so you're getting a new body...

im kind of in the same boat, i've got an olympus e500 but the e400's have a water proof case you can get and they have the lcd live view display

surfnvb7
12/19/2007, 06:19 PM
yeah, new body and IS zoom lens that comes with it. and giving the XTi, kit lens that came with that.....and a telephoto lens to my dad. so the only thing i'm keeping is my macro lens.

the 40D i'm getting also has live view, i tested one and it was pretty sweet....along with a few other odds and ends that are helpful.
