Most Pink birdsnest do not hold thier color. The Tubs Purple polyped birdsnest is a good grower.....really fast.....and holds its reddish color in high light, turns greener in lower lights.

If your looking for pink, the Rose Milli is a good one, here is mine

Dunno bout that one dots, maybe more a 50/50 . Mine was pretty dang pink till I lost it during my tank move. Its fight for life really lessened after an acro crab made it its home and then I did the tank move. Just couldnt make the tank cycle.

I think the pink will be more of a testament to your husbandry, water perameters, and system equipment. If your tank doesnt get any lovins cept on the weekends, dont expect anything. But at the same time you may be pleasantly surprised, just depends on the system and it's caretaker really.

I'm doing 680 to San Jose & back to Woodland on December 30. delsol650: Would you have a sizable frag/colony worth the trouble of meeting in Dublin at Aquarium Concepts? Would transport shares for the thread.

Its a good piece to have, grows fast as a weed, too big in fact.....It made me realize that caps, and Birdsnest take up WAY too much real estate in a smaller tank.

It is usually on the red side......seen here

If you know someone around my area, they can buy a piece for you, then you can pick it up from them at your liesure.

Technically I'm going to Los Gatos on the 30th for a family function. This would be totally on the outlaw with the inlaws so keep it quiet. If there is anyone around that can babysit a frag/colony between Los Gatos and Woodland until the 30th, I can pick it up along that 80/680 corridor. Pacifica is far enough off route that it would totally blow my stealth. It was all I could do to talk my wife, kids, mother-in-law into letting me stop at Aquarium Concepts in Dublin.
