theres an anole in the outdoor closet on my porch. i dont know how long it has been there but i first noticed it a couple of days ago and i checked today and its still there, assuming its the same one. there's an opening where i think he must have come through to get on the porch in the first place, and a space underneath the door, where he would have gone to get in the closet. i have nothing out there, so he's not really bothering anything. my question is, should i catch him and bring him outside, or just leave him alone? i don't want to stress him out, but i also dont want him to starve in there. i figure he could leave if he wants to, but i dunno. any thoughts?

Given the downswing in the weather I would catch him and put him outside !!! Yes I realize the downswing in weather is that dramatic since we're talkin' about Florida but he probably won't catch any insects in there !

thats kinda what i was thinking. he cant be finding anything to eat in there. i'll check in the morning, and if he's still in there, i'll get him outside. thanks!

Do you want to get rid of the mouse or not?

i'd leave the anole alone. if anything, bring it inside.

for the mouse, i'd hire a corn/rat/king snake.

for the mouse, i'd say get a little wire critter cage and keep him! That's what i'd do. I can't stand to kill anything that comes into our space that was their space before we invaded it.

You could also get a small plastic bucket and build a staircase of books up to the top. Put an old cloth in the bottom to cushion their fall, along with some bird seed or some other tasty morsels. By morning you should have yourself a mouse. If not, be patient. When you catch him, put him in your barn or something :)

I'd put the anole outside. Unless you have tons of spiders and stuff for it to eat, you'll probably find a little anole mummy on the carpet one day.
