Is that on the regular channel or on the HD Theater? I've recently given Charter the boot and got DirecTV and am absolutely loving Discovery HD theater.

I saw a little of it on Sunday. What I saw was AMAZING. Unfortunately I don't have t.v at the house so...Although why watch it on t.v when I have a little bit of the sea at the house. Extremely, EXTREMELY small portion, but a portion none the less.

I watch it on TV to see the bazillion things on that reef that I don't have in my reef. Huge table corals, massive schools of fish, so many colors and sizes....somehow gotta get there some day...

I like it too, but that massive star fish mowing over all the brittle stars really creeps me out.

Cool program, however....
Wish they would show more of the reef, with pictures of corals lasting more than a nanosecond. You catch a glimpse of an awesome coral and you just have time to go, "oooo, that's a....", and it's gone.
Wish they would get over the habit of showing their little special effects of water draining away from the reef over and over again to emphasize their point of there being a time when that area was exposed to air. It's like the producer says, "Hey, we made this cool effect for the show, so we're going to get our mileage out of it by running it multiple times." They seem to do this with a large portion of their shows like this one.
And I wish it didn't have commercials like every 30 seconds or so. :rolleye1:

Hey dave I have just 1 word for you TIVO. I spent $4.95 extra per month and I can pause it whenever I want and oogle at the beautiful corals on Discovery HD.

Hi Shooter! I agree with you about it going too fast and that annoying special effect thingy. I DVR'd it, so it's nice to be able to go back and slow things down a bit.

*starting to reconsider my decision not to pay the extra to have the recording box added in when I set up my new DirecTV equipment* :rolleye1:
