i presume you dont mean the coraline algae... but thats all i see

Its called coralline algae. Its a sign of good water quality (as far as Alk, Mg. and Ca are concerned) Some like it, some don't. If you don't like it, scrape it off with a razor blade. Do a search in the 'new to the hobby' forum and you wi.ll find out all you need to know about this stuff.

i thought it might be, just didn't think it would grow on the tank wall... and only one of the four walls, too...

You're welcome. It tends to flourish in more moderate lighting (side wall of tank is a good example) and in areas of high water flow.
