Tang swallows pine needle

So I drag the tree in yesterday. After that's done it's time to feed the fish. I must have had a pine needle in my shirt cuff cause just as the feeding frenzy starts I notice a 1/4" long needle drift around below the surface. I made a few quick attemps to grab it but my purple tang beat me to it. I hope it can digest it or soften it up before passing it through-ouch!

i had that happen about 2 years ago, big yellow tang ate a damn pine needle, 2 days time his belly was all red and he died the next day. hope you ave better luck, keep us posted.
