View Full Version : If you have multiple baby clowns, how old before separating?

I still can't decide and want to get 3 clowns. They are babies and less than an inch (2-3 months old?) so how long in a 10 gallon tank before I need to get them their own dedicated setups?
Will being together like that stunt their growth?

Sorry for the naive question: I have had very little exposure to clowns.

Keep them together as long as you need...just don't let the water quality get too bad.

How old until they need their own space? 1 year?

Clowns can live in groups of the same species for years if introduced at a early age. Only one male and one female will develop, the rest will remain juveniles and can stay that way for years. Hence, even a very small wild caught fish can be several years old and you would have never known. :)
Hope this helps.
