i think a big question is feeding them. i dont' know that i could buy fish for it to eat, poor chromis arent' gonna hurt anybody.

I had an Oscar for >5yr that almost exclusively ate goldfish. It's a great source of entertainment for bored and tore up college kids. Though the frequent trips to the pet store get old.

Theres a period of time where the Oscar isn't big enough to swallow the goldfish whole, so it'll attack them and bite them in half. It's insane how long a goldfish will swim around without any discernible head.

When I was a teen I worked at a LFS in Maine and the owner was a real shady character. He got in like 100 quarter sized (illegal in Maine) RB Piranha of which I took home 16 :D They were wicked skiddish (no where near the monsters people seem to think). They would however tackle small prey like crazy...I fed em' all kinds of stuff and they grew FAST! They weeded themselves down to 8 (no room for sissies :D ) Amazing to see a ball of fish on a smelt and 5 secs later no trace left of the food when they would break....I mean nothing!
