replace pump or upgrade skimmer

I currently have a 54g bow and had a ASM G3 until the pump finally broke tonight. I need to decide if I should buy another Sedra 5000 or just beginning looking for another skimmer and upgrade both. I will eventually move to a 120g and do not want to buy another skimmer if possible.

Should I just upgrade pump or look for new skimmers that could work on both 54 and then 120?

I'd buy a new skimmer, and sell the ASM body.

Thank You for the advice. What skimmer would be best for an eventual 120 medium bioload but wouldnt be too much on 54?
