It's an adult Mimic or Chocolate Tang - Acanthurus pyroferus. The juvies look like Lemonpeel Angels. Definitely not a hybrid, hope you didn't pay more than like $75 for it.
It's an Acanthurus pyroferus(Chocolate Surgeonfish). The one in the picture is a juvenile mimicking Centopyge vroliki(the Halfback angel. Some juvenile specimens specimens also mimic Centorpyge flavissima(the lemon peel angel. It's coloration will change as it matures to a choclate yellow.

My fish is only 2" long so it is a juvi. I do not think it is a chocolate look at the fins
The picture you posted above is an Acanthurus japonicus( A Powder Brown Surgeonfish) not An A. pyroferus(Chocolate).

Chocolate Tang is the same thing as a Mimic Tang. Both refer to Acanthurus pyroferus. Chocolate = Adult. Mimic = Juvie.
Gotfish8- yours is only part way through the color transition, which is why it looks a little bit off. 99.5% sure it isnt a hybrid. For what its worth, a Mimic x Dussumeiri is physically impossible. Cool looking fish though- the body shape will change a bit more for you too yet.

The chocolate tang is one of my all time favorites. Yup, that's what you have. The juvenile form of A pyroferus mimics the lemonpeel angel - yours is transitioning to adult. Acanthurus tristis, another mimic tang, mimics the Eibl's angel, and looks quite different than the tang first pictured.
mimics the lemonpeel angel
Yes ,Acanthurus pryroferus mimicks the lemon peel (Centropyge flavissima). This one is changing from it's mimick of(Centropyge vroliki),Half back or Pearl scale angel. Although this morph is seen less often it is not rare or hybrid.

Tom,
You may be correct, but that is EXACTLY how mine (which was a lemonpeel mimic - I had it as a juvenile) looked as it changed to adult colors.

I was at my friend's lfs on Tuesday and saw several of the Half back morphs which is why I went with that. Most folks don't know that this fish has two mimics.:)
