I'm sure there's lots of other stuff I'm forgetting since I'm thinking off the top of my head, but you get the idea. There's alot! :O)
As you all know, my little obsession is worth alot more than what I'm asking.
I'll come back after a while, but I have to cut out all of my outside distractions to get my new business going, so here it is!

what kind of photography equipment are you getting?

Hey Al, I want to upgrade from photoshop 5.0 to CS3 and I need to get a backdrop stand, some more backdrops, a second lense for my camera, some flash lights and trigger, and a really expensive printer. There are a few new photoshop expansion programs I want too. I'm really hoping to have everything I want to buy a space to open a studio over the next few years because my husband will have his doctorate done and we can get away from our mundane customer service lives and do the things we really want to do! Time to prepare!

If you decide to part out, I'd like the zoas and ricordeas.

On a side note, what is your husband getting his doctorate in?

Thanks Josh, I'll keep you in mind if I part out. He's a pychologist, He'll then be a psychiatrist when he's done and he can open his own practice. :O)

thats pretty cool! i hope everything works out for you in opening up a studio.

i've only been in the photography hobby for a year....and while i don't see myself ever going pro.....or making any money off pics.....the equipment sure isn't cheap.

i still don't have a photoshop program....and was looking at the prices.....OMG....i could buy a new lens!!

LOL! I know it is very expensive. If I can find my CD, you're welcome to come over and we can burn a copy for you. You can check out some of my work thus far on www.myspace.com/shutterflyphotos
I love it. It's something I do on my free time right now and can spend all of my free time doing it, so I know this the path I want to go down. You should check out the meetup.com group in Richmond too for photography. It's supposed to be alot of fun. They get together every month or so and go to some great places for random photos. It' just as addicting to me as saltwater. That reminds me, if any of you know of anyone that needs a wedding photographer for free, please let me know. I need a few weddings for my portfolio...
