All, I have spoken with the board and am going to sign us up for the Reef Geek "Aquarium Club Discount Program". The way it works is this:
I send them a list of our members: name, city, zip ONLY -- no street address, no phone #, no email address.
Then when you call their toll free # to order, the following discount applies:
Over $250 - 5% Discount
Over $500 - 7% Discount
Over $1000 - 9% Discount
This can be a group order or you can order individually. If you order individually or as a group, you'll need to hit the price target to get the discount. Here are the terms:

This program is possible primarily because of the lower cost of doing business. One of the biggest expenses for our company is customer service and support. In order for us to be able to offer these discounts we ask that the Aquarium Club take the lead in providing service and support to its members. Of course, we will still be there to provide the support and service you’ve come to expect from us if the need arises.
1. All orders must ship complete and to a single address. (No partial shipments and/or back-orders.)
2. Discounts may not be combined with other specials and promotions.
3. Gift certificates are not eligible for purchase through this program.
4. All standard company policies apply.
I'll keep them updated with the membership list. If you are a member, you'll just call them at their toll free # to order, and tell them so and they will check against the list. If you want to pool an order to get a discount, pick out someone to do the "group buy" and place the order. It will all be shipped to a single address.
IF you want to opt out and not have me send them your name, let me know. I'm happy to remove your name from the list.
In the interest of full disclosure, there is no benefit to me personally, nor to any of the other members of the board. The only benefit is to the membership in terms of the discounts listed above. I know a bunch of our members order from Reef Geek so this is a nice thing for our members. It will probably take me a week to get everything in place, so hold your horses until I give the go ahead :)
