so i accidently smooshed a large piece of bubble algae when trying to remove it from some rock, and im wondering if should be concerned with it spreading all over the place now? somewhere i read that it was bad to pop them because the spores inside the algae. i have a pretty clean system with no measurable nitrates, or phosphates

I wouldn't sweat it. Just don't make a habit of it. I've popped plenty of them when trying to remove them and I have never had an outbreak.

If you have bubble algae problems get a couple of emerald crabs. Cool to watch and should leave your corals alone.

I think you're gonna have to give me all your corals while you sort this one out Dave.

if I break off the bubbles and don't pop them my yellow watchman goby swallows the bubble and pops it in its mouth and then spits out the clear shell of the bubble. fun to watch!!

yeah i think im gonna have to remove all corals and give them to you mark, then i should probably cook all my rock for about a year and then put a torch to any areas that look infected still, and then maybe ill be ready to take my coral back, but proably just want to take a few frags and let you have the colonies juuuuuust incase the bubble algae is to come back again.
