I plan on modding a halide into my nano's stock hood, but am afraid of the heat issues I will run into. I plan on cutting more ventilation into the hood, but the only examples I've seen are circular holes drilled and I don't want this look. Does anyone know how to cut straight lines that are similar to the ones that come with the hood? I was thinking some kind of a dremel attachment or tool might work?

my dremmel came with a circular saw attachment that cut pretty straight lines.....

You could cut some of the grates out of the existing vents to open it up a bit more and just upgrade the fans.

I have the 70w MH on my NC12g with upgraded fans and the temps stay pretty low and stable...I do plan on opening up the existing vents soon to minimize the noise and increase airflow.
