I plan to switch over from phosban to carbon for a month or so. How much carbon is usually added to the reactor? 1/2 or 3/4 way up or more?

Make sure you use carbon and not charcoal :) I have my 150 filled about halfway. You may want to gradually use more and more until you get the effect you desire. Change it frequently.

Grab a second one for thirty dollars and run them in series, carbon then phosban. All you need is one pump.

I would fill it about halfway, maybe a little less.
