I have a 40 Breeder with a Outer Orbit Fixture with

1- 150W 14k Phoenix (Double Ended)
2 - 96W PC Actinics

I Like the color, but ts a bit 'blue' (with all the phoenix and actinics)

I'd like something that puts out a bit more par, can I get some advice?

Thanks

you could always go to a 10k bulb.

You could try this one:

http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=10K-150HQI&Category_Code=mh70-150

10K will give you your best PAR output. Supliment it with some actinics and you should be good to go.

I've head so much mixed reviews on the Ushios, has anyone seen/tried the Megachrome Marine or Coral? Very pricy but I haven't seen any complaints with them.

I have the 250 watt Pheonix 14k. Like the color but after about 7 months noticed a significant decrease in par. Several corals are losing the vibrant colors. I liked the buld because I don't suppliment with actinics.

I had a Giesman buld before - expensive but nice. Before that a AB 10k - that lasted a long time.

I tried the 20ks but thought they were too dim.
