What would you suggest would be a sufficient (and brand and model) protein skimmer for a 75 gallon tank?

Thanks in advance!

I currently have a euro reef protein skimmer I like the design and how it functions. Not sure which model is good for that size tank I know it goes by the gallon size of the tank. I know that DR Foster started to carry them now. HTH

In sump, out of sump or hang-on back?? What do you plan to keep?? Fish only with live rock (FOWLR)?? Corals?? SPS?? I hand an MRC brand MR-1 on my first 75g system. Beckett skimmers are the Chevy of pick-up trucks!!

I have a like new euroreef rs 100 skimmer with a two week old pump I am looking at selling. You could have it for 125.00 if you want. I think most reefers would agree that euro-reef is one of the best, if not the best skimmers you can get. let me know

I just purchased an Octopus NW-150 for $155. I set it up Friday and it's already pulling out tons of junk! I went with an Octopus because I've heard they're one of the best lower-priced skimmers (and the pumps are low-wattage). It is an in-sump model.

EDIT: I forgot to mention - It's on my 55 gallon right now, but I wanted to be able to use it when I upgrade.

Anyway, i have the Odyssea PS160 on my 55tank.

Here is a great link, along with my photos of my skimmer.

Figure of speech. Should I have said, what is the best toothpaste??

So what's the Colgate of skimmers?? The Octopus?? The Deltec?? The Prism Pro?? What has been around for a long while with proven technology?? Beckett is just one. Newer toothpastes have come along in the meantime.

I've had my Octopus for 5 days and I can firmly say it foams more than Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction.
