Some have an air tube on top. Which one do you have?

i have that kind! all you do is take a some tubing and put it at the top of the air bubles and suck the air out till you get some saltwater in your mouth then remove the tubing.. it works

With overflow on the tank and tank and sump with water ready. Get water in both sides of the filter, feed the air tube up into the u tube of the filter. Place the u tube in the overflow box suck on the air tube this will draw water up into the tube. When all air is out of the u tube the overflow is primed and ready.

Fill the resivoir in the back place the intake tubes in there place then get some airhose that long enough to go in the tube from the tank side to the overflow side and blow like the wind. This will prime it.
