dead fish

i just found a dead fish in my tank . my shrimp are eating it what do i do?? its stuck under some live rock in my 150 gallon!!

take the dead fish out and test your water. If anything is out of whack then do a water change, perhaps 20%. Since a fish died there is a VERY good chance there is something wrong!

alk- 12.8 dhk ( used tap water its coming down)
calcium- 390 ppm
nitrate- .5 ppm
ammonia- 0
ph acjr-8.44 ( going to re calibrate)
ph test- 8.2

How big is the fish? If not too big, might as well let the clean up crew have a nice mean..

Biggest question is why did the fish die? Do you know why.

no i think all my levels are good mabey i starved him :( he was the first death we had since we move are new 150 gallon to our house hopefully the last!

What type of fish? And maybe wont cut it dude. Thems fightin words heeh :) Do you have a test kit?

yes my test numbers are above i tested and re tested cut me some slack im a newbe. i am going to feed more now i was miss informed and now with some resurch am going to feed the guys some more . scooter

OK the scooter only eats pods. And if the 150 had enough LR he may live a month or 2. They need a steady supply of pods that a refugium can give him. Yes research before doing always best. And only some critisize. There no dumb qeustion and this will only be a learning experiance. Try and research all the stock you want before stocking. Then research there diet and always add least aggressive to most in that order if possible.

Remember that lots of RESEARCH is the key to success and dont forget to research just to be sure . We all make mistakes.
