When it die's, it will begin to "rot" away to nothing and usually release a slimey excreation...chances are it is just adjusting to new peramiters, and also being irritated by the clown...Do you have sufficient lighting for this animal?

its expelling waste water...thats what it does takes in water holds it for a while and then expels it

Should be okay? The fish won't go near it once it's dead? Just cleaning itself out....
