I have a 55 gallon up and running and am looking for ideas of fish combinations to place in a reef tank.

I like my black and white clowns. Common firefish. Yellow wathman goby. Clown gobies and lots of shrimp. Anything peaceful. I loved my orchid dottyback but he killed shrimp so he went to live with my son.

Mandarins are a nice colorful addition once you have a good pod population to support one. Mine has a really cool personality:) Yellow blennies are a unique addition which will generate a lot of attention from spectators as well.

Do the blennies stay out often....I did plan on a mandarin but have to wait five more months!

I know the yellow Blennies stay out most of the time - and they are unique in the way that they will sometimes somehow stick to the side of the glass and just chill:)

Any of the reef safe wrasses pictured in this link would go very nicely in a 55:
