I am new to this hobby and am setting up a 65g reef tank. I have a smoke grey overflow, but was wondering what, if any, paint to use to paint the pvc on the return side. I have painted the outside back of the tank black and would like to do the same with the pipe. Thanks for the help.

You want to go fancy? I got clear pvc. Should show up today, I'll post some pics. The elbows are pricy tho, lol.

You can get pvc pipe primer, and then just paint away.

Why would it chip off? Supposed to "fuse" with the surface it's applied to. I used it on pvc I am using for a closed loop on one of my tanks and has been in use since about May with no chips at all so far.
