Do you have any suggested references (books or online) to help me to increase my understanding of the various ways reef tanks can be set up? My current tank is a simple 29 gallon set up with HOB skimmer and filter and power compact lighting. Fish, macro-algae, mushrooms, zoas, and tree coral all seem to be doing very well. I would like to move up to a somewhat larger tank and am considering getting the skimmer and filter out of the tank and into a sump but am totally confused about overflow boxes, closed loops etc. Where can I go for basic information so that I can learn the pros and cons of these systems. The thought of something malfuncting and pumping the contents of my tank onto my floor is making me very cautious about "upgrading".

Thank you. I looked at Melevsreef briefly and it looks like there is a lot there--I will read it all when I get a chance. Any books on the subject that anyone would recommend? Thanks
