Hey guys, hopefully for christmas I can get a 125 fowlr tank in my basement. It has been a dream and hopefully it can become a reality. I have had a nano tank for a little while so going from 10 to 125 is a big change.

Equipment:

-125 gallon acrylic (72x18x22)
-custon stand/canopy
-Orbit Aquarium Light Fixture 4 x 96W SunPaq Lamps, 6 Lunar Lights & Fan - 72 in.
-Deluxe Pro Series Sump
-Skimmer (Not sure what one: need help!)
-Heater
-HOB Aquafuge Refugium
-110 lbs of sand
-100 lbs of fiji/tonga

Fish, inverts:
-(1) Hippo Tang
-(1) Yellow Tang
-(5) Lyretail or Tricolor Anthias (Not sure which ones yet)
-(2) Banggaii Cardinals
-(1) Strawberry Pseudochromis

-50 Red Leg Hermit Crabs
-15 Mexicans Turbos

With FOWLR you will not need any special lights (the ones that come with the tank is fine). You can always upgrade to the orbit later if needed.

All Anthias Needs lots of care--almost a constant food supply for them to eat. I would rather get a school of chromis (reef or green).

i have heard chromis are aggressive towards eachother....
"start with 10, and end up with 3"

Just what I heard..

I personally would skip the bangi cardinals just because or their endangered status. I also would add some narssarius snails for the sand bed.
As for a skimmer what price range are you going for?

A few places, I know liveaquaria was, sell tankraised banggais, for the skimmer, how much room do you have in the sump? I would go for a good one due to the bioload, tangs and anthias will add a lot and need clean water but I'm no expert on skimmers.

Hmm..okay.
Updated Fish List:
Hippo tang
Yellow Tang
Six Line Wrasse
2 Banggaii (Tank raised)
5 Blue/green Chromise

ALSO:
I have an idea for a cheaper light. Since im most likely going to get an acrylic tank, i think im going to go with two 36" Dual Satellite PC and lay them side by side over the two openings on the top. There cheap and i love the satellites (I have it on my 10). Sound good? Its the same wattage (I know it dosent matter with FOWLR) and its 180$ cheaper! lol

Why not get two VHO bulbs and an IceCap ballast? I have a 135G with 4 VHO bulbs that are 5 feet each, running on two IceCap 430's. I know VHO's are hard to find but the output and color is awesome.
