Hi guys I have my reef tank about perfect.(well always room to improve) But I have a empty 30 gallon that is asking for seahorses.Does anyone have any ideas I have searched so many sites of awhile now my eyes are crossed. My lfs can get them in but at $50.00 a piece.OUCH!!! I also want to use fake plants and not a lot of rock.It all depends on what site you visit they all tell you something different.Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

seahorse.org has allot of info on them. I got my seahorse from the cityzoo in elmira. It is a small Kuda and it was 30 bucks. I use a few fake plants and it seems to like it. I feed him frozen mysis twice a day. Seems to be goinggood for now.

It is a long drive from here but if I went and bought more than one would they be related? They say they will only breed if unrelated. If they shipped it might be worth it.Captive breed are easier to because they don't need live food.Do you know which these are?

They are captive. I think the only way to garuntee that you get a mated pair is to buy them like that from the supplier. Good luck with them, they are so cool.

Something I've never tried but they are so graceful it's beautiful. It's hard not to like them.

I was just wondering if you ever ended up getting seahorses?
