i just put in 40 lbs of cured live rock in my aquaRium about a week ago. the rock i bought from a local dealer, he had the rock in his aquarium for over a year and had the purple spots and everything. i then bought 50 gallons of RODI water from him also. i have two blue damsels i think in there also.i have my skimmer and and my fluval filter. all of a sudden i started to get algae on the ground today. whats up with this? suggestoins, i dont want to use chemicals but anything will help

Yes, your tank is rather new. Algae is part of the cycle no matter how old the rock is.

Just relax and watch it disappear again in a couple of weeks! How long is your light cycle?

If the tank is fully cycled, which I assume by now it is, then you could begin adding a cleanup crew of snails, etc.
But as mentioned above, this is totally normal for new setups.
You could stop the lights for a few days too, that would help a bit.

i already have a cleanup crew, but i think i found the problem, my powerhead wasnt working but now it si so i think im good for now
