They came on the live rock. What are they?

I think the green thing is some type of sponge?

Are they type's of corals? Probably going to die since my tank is cycling.

The last one is button polyps: you're 30.00 richer.
The others could be buttons, but you'll have people say they're aiptasia: could be, but I incline to open buttons.
Lord only knows on the green stuff: it's not hair algae: that leaves 13,000 species it could be. ;)
But nice rock!

Yay! Lucky me! Hope they make it through the cycle. I hope it's not aiptasia! If it is, I put some lime water into a syringe and shoot it into it right?

They look kinda cool, but seems everyone hates them. Should I try to rid my tank of them?

well if they are the same as mine. then I don't have a prob. with them. they do reproduce fairly fast but don't seem to harm any corals they touch. so I have never touched them. but who knows the day may come when I wish I never had them

Here's my green sponge to compare. Hard to tell if yours is the same.

I also have one of the other which I also think is a button polyp. It has not reproduced in three months. IMO it doesn't look like aiptasia.

peppermint shrimp eat those pest anename sorry bad spelling when they get bigger and your fish rub against them they will make your fish sick or die but note that thats all the shrimp eats so no food means deadshrimp dont just pull it out it will just reproduce more and faster

i heard people burning them with a lighter. I moved some rocks today from one tank to the other and gave it a try on one of them. I just have to wait and see if it worked.
