will 2 powerheads rated at 145 gph be enough for a 29g tank?

It depends on what sort of corals you're planning to keep. Those would probably be fine for softies.

The usual consensus here is for SPS Corals you want 30 to 40 times your volume. about 1200 gals.

I would go with something a little bigger. Like maybe two at 290ish. 20x jmo
