purple star polyp staying open after lights out with just the blue moon lights on. this normal/good sign?

how long after....its not an instant thing

6hrs lights go off at 6pm and i get home from work around midnight and i always look at my tank first thing when i get home and tonight is the first time i noticed all of them open

do you know how long before the lights turn on that they open???

it also might be because of the purple color its darker and absorbs the blue color of light

they usually dont open for about 10min or so after the lights turn on

i think its because of the purple color...it stays open to take in that blue light

Mine sometimes stay open ALL night and other days close up at night and take a few hours to open after the halides come on..
Perfectly normal..

Those in my tank close up at the moment when the lights are turned off. At night when the moon lights are on they open up again. They are growing like crazy...
