I need to remove some bubble algae, I've tried emerald crabs but they were eating my polyps so they have to go. Problem I'm having is the rock the algae is has a Frogspawn expoxied to it. Is it safe for me to take the frogspawn out of the water for a minute or two while I remove it.

I think my problems are about to get alot worse since I just noticed a broken bubble in another spot on the tank. Is there anything reef safe I can use to get rid of short of scraping it off.

Thanks

Just manually remove everything you can right before you do a water change.

When you do a water change suck them out. The come off fairly easy.

I had a similar problem in my 20 gallon sw tank a few years back.

Because it was a 20 gallon TALL tank, and the bubble algae was hard to reach, I made this little "razor" equipped suction tube. I carefully cut them loose while syphoning...sucked them all out. Never came back.

Just need to be careful not to pop the bubbles, but with the syphon going, it pretty much sucked everything out...

Ignore the rusty blade...its been in the basement for some time.
