Hey, I have a question. Is it possible that microalgae itself can create alot of micro bubbles?

I'm going through an algae bloom at the moment. It's green and more of a film that's all over my live rock. It's not slimy, and in fact, I can't feel it if I brush my hand over the rock. It essentially looks like I have green rock.

In any case, I am getting alot of micro bubbles. I suspect the algae as the culprit because the bubbles seem to occur only during the day. At night, and in the morning when the lights just turn on, there are few if any bubbles. I'm not discounting anything out, but I would like some imput.

I do have a sump with a protein skimmer running. This could be a source, although I have no idea how light could affect it.

.....its usually oxygen bubbles produced from photosynthesis of the slime. Maintaining high pH and alk. usually gets rid of it. Strong currents can also help keep it from forming, but if the conditions are right it will appear anywhere it can.
