white fuzzy things everywhere!

there are white fuzzy thing all over my overflow, live rock and power heads. they sorta look like white fuzzy pineapples? or they sorta look like cotton balls with a tiny little white feather duster coming out of the top. it started out that there were 2 now 3 months later the are 200. help! what are these things?

Dose it look like this. If so its a pineapple sponge.

Sounds like a Scypha sponge to me. Do a google image search and see what you come up with.

i got another question too they were all over the place so i vacuumed my crushed coral to get rig of them no the dust just settled and my live rock is all powdery looking is that ok? will it just go away naturally?
