SCWD Swapped Out

I just swapped out my SCWD and boy I like it much better this way. It seemed like a good idea when I started. Much less pluming and much more flow. I’ve seen diy plans for rebuilding the thing but it sure is nicer without it. Is there is a general consensus among the experienced to pass on these things?

Zilch, I’m better off without. I may set up opposing powerheads or an electronic wavemaker in the future but for now I’d say this thing is not worth the gph loss. Just my 2 cents for fellow newbies.
