new 150 gal tank

I just got my new 150 gal up and running. I am suprised at how loud the overflow is with the water falling. Is this true with everyone that has an overflow? Is there anything I can do to make it just alittle bit more quiet. It is rather quite annoying.

Look at durso standpipes.

Ha Ha -I just posted the same question. I guess that answers it. The water falling makes a lot of noise! Let me know if you find a way to drown out the noise.

forgot to ask... Did you have any trouble with the bulkheads leaking in your overflow?

i had this problem the other night when i set up the sump what i did was thorttle down the inlet tub to raise the water level in the overflow. hope this helps

no but i have had trouble with my lines leaks everywhere. Trying to make shift the stuff i got from the u.s. with japanese stuff. Not a pleasant experience. Salty Dr. where can I find that durso stand pipe?
