Is clay pottery safe for a reef aquarium? I was thinking of making some pieces out of clay I can get at the local hobby store to use for decorations in my tank. Do you have to seal it with anything? Has anyone tried this?

:) It should be safe though maybe somebody else will chime in here about using it long term in a reef. Many use clay pots and sort in QT tanks (and I've also seen them used in tanks used to spawn clownfish in) as temporary shelters.
