whats the differance between corse and fine calcium reactor media?

not much some brands need lower ph to dissolve. I prefer the coarser media as IMO there is more even dissolution and less potential for channeling.

what brand disloves under the highest ph?

can't say for certain (nothing solid to back it up)but IME it seemed as though crushed coral and ARM media dissolve faster than others.

I think ARM has the highest avertised rate of something like 7.4 i run my korralin media at 6.5..

depends on the media, but with mine, i started my effluent around 7 and droped it untill i saw a rise in ph in the tank. THis was done with a ph controller for the reactor, and a aquacontroller for the tank so i could data log the ph. My reactor hit the sweet spot around 6.53. any lower and it would kill the ph. With the current setup, my pH is actually a few tenth's higher with the reactor running then not.
