Sump Build Help!!

how wouls i build a sump tank with my 29g.

i have extra: 5g, 10g..

could i use a powerhead? if so how do i get the flow right so the refuge doesn't overflow, or expose the pump to air.

i kinda wanted to use my hot magnum pro to sump out the water to the refugium. And maybe use a powerhead to pump it back in.

you dont need equal amounts of pumps to cycle water. only pumping back into the tank and let gravity do the drain. i did a sump out of a tank and just had glass cut half way up for safety of overflowing. i did a drain with a uv sterilizer in compartment one, compartment 2 has skimmer w/ 3 baffles to disrupt any microbubbles, compartment 3 has fuge in it w/ a hang on back light, compartment 4 has return pump w/ a drilled section of glass for water auto-topoff and gravity fed w/ a 20L plastic container. hope this helps
